The Common CM?

No comments:

Arvind Kejriwal needs to see this (I am sure he would have)...  And like someone says in the video... He is now a CM not Shaktiman...

I do wish AAP all the best, but hope they don't continue to make a mockery of themselves and of the ideals they so righteously touted before coming into power.
Do not let the people who voted you up regret their decision.

I have always liked AIB and their satirical humour... This is another of their gems.

(To the tune of Lungi Dance)

Jab bhi Kejru ka bheja hatega...
Tab woh raaste pe protest karega...
Wagon R mein woofer bajeja...
Topi pehen ke aana padega...
Kejriwal Kejriwal Kejriwal...

Ice-Screams!!

No comments:

Recently, I had an argument with a friend about paintings… and especially The Scream by Edvard Munch. If you’d recall, one of his versions of the painting was auctioned for a whopping USD 119.9 million.

Our argument was based on how the likeability of paintings and their attractiveness are subjective. He did not like the particular painting. I like it, though not the particular version which sold for that ungodly sum.

Soon, I came across this particular version of the same painting… this time as an advertisement by Faber-Castell. I think it is not just creative, it sure involved a lot more effort than the original painting… and I don’t mean to take anything away from Mr. Munch… but this sure is something that should fetch a couple of thousand greenbacks, at least.

And now, I came across this.

If you are a fan of the painting… or just like your cocktails with a pinch of creepiness, then these are the perfect nightmare inducing ice-screams you can get out there.

Surely, nothing can be more refreshing than a bunch of disembodied, screaming heads floating in whatever is your favourite elixir.

Answers to the Capsule Puzzle

No comments:
A few days back I had put up a puzzle... based on an artwork by GrĂ©goire Guillemin. And I had promised I would put up the answers... So, here they are.

Here's A Little Game...

No comments:

Here is this neat piece of art called Famous Capsules by Grégoire Guillemin

The game is to guess as many characters and / or shoes, movies, games or whatever form of entertainment they belong to.

I could answer only about 50 of them off the top of my head... and I would need to think and look closely at the images to answer the rest. I would be trying out for the answers... meanwhile so can you. :)

The answers will be posted when I manage to find all of them... obviously!

Moiré Magic!

No comments:

Who knew that something as mundane as moiré could be used to come up with something that would easily be the focal point of every coffee table conversation?

Here’s presenting MAGIC CARP-PET, a Red Dot winning design by John Leung for ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects.

The concept is beautiful in its simplicity and the use of our visual perception. The rug on its own looks like any of the modern, nature meets abstract designs… a bit art-deco maybe…  with black koi/carp fish ( a bit distorted, to look abstract.)
But, combine it with the deceptively simple coffee table and the life’s breathed in to the distorted koi/carp fish. As you walk around the room / rug the combination of moirĂ© induced illusion and the angle of your line of sight make the fish swim.

A video by the company shows how lovely the design is in its simplicity and how fascinating the concept.

I love it… and would absolutely love to have it in my living room.

From The Otherside ;)

No comments:

I really liked this disclaimer by Nawaab Saheb...
A little violent, maybe... but then there really are those times when you want to get a gun out and do an FPS on some really dumb people around you (and the world seems to be full of them)!
Why I don't get a license for a gun is simple... I happen to be one of those dumb people!

History Of English

No comments:
English is quite an intriguing language. Though, technically... my first language is not English... I still think in English. My thoughts take shape with English words and then my brain does a babel fish and translates it to the other languages I speak in.

I came across this interesting video on Youtube and thought it was worth a share. The video is pretty accurate in its contents and the presentation is humorous.

Stunning Quilling Designs By Yulia Brodskaya

Found the above link at this blog I diligently follow: Home-Designing
It has been some time I have thought about taking up paper quilling... some outrageous ideas in my head and I've felt paper might be a good medium for it.
The designs by this lady are mind blowing. Here are some images not in their blogpost...
